DEBBIE —

I’ve lived in San Diego for over 30 years. My background is in finance and law.

I use to travel frequently and due to my own need for pet care when traveling, I decided I would provide that much-needed service to others.

I have been a pet owner my entire life. Some of the pets that I’ve owned are dogs, cats, hamsters, turtles and birds. I currently have two indoor cats and feed several feral cats that live in my neighborhood. I have trapped and taken them to be fixed so that I can continue to love them without having to worry about them creating more feral cats.

I enjoy travel, reading, hiking, working out and going to the beach.

WHY DEBBIE —

As a pet lover and owner myself, I understand your concern for your furbaby in your absence. I will care for your pet(s) in as gentle, loving and nurturing a way as you would. Having pets in the comfort of their own home tremendously eases their stress in your absence. They are in their own bed, eating out of their own bowl and in their own comfortable surroundings. Further, not only are you getting loving pet care for your cherished pet(s) but your home is also occupied in your absence, providing an extra layer of security for your home.

Daycare is provided 9:00 am thru 5:00 pm
Overnight care is provided between 5:00 pm and 9:00 am

PETSITTING

$80 / day for the first pet
$25 / day for each additional pet

WHAT TO EXPECT —

  • I will arrive at your home at the time you request.
  • I will provide all my own food.
  • I will bring all my own towels, washcloths, etc.
  • I will treat your home with utmost respect.
  • I will walk your pet daily (if applicable) following your instructions.
  • I will water your plants if you so desire.
  • I will bring in your mail daily if you desire.
  • I will clean up any pet droppings or litter box as necessary.
  • I will feed according to your directions daily.
  • I will provide water on an ongoing basis for your pet(s).
  • I will change the sheets on the bed I occupy if you provide a clean set upon my arrival.
WHAT I REQUEST FROM YOU
  • Please have sufficient food, snacks, medicines, etc. for your pet(s).
  • Please provide a place for me to sleep with clean linens along with a change of sheets if possible (I will change prior to my departure).
  • Please be sure your pet has adequate flea control administered at least two days in advance of my arrival.
  • Please fill out the entire application prior to my arrival so I know everything I need to know important to providing the best care for your pet.
  • Please alert anyone important (if applicable) that I will be staying at your home in your absence. I ask this so no one suspects I’m an intruder.
  • Payment due upon arrival. CASH ONLY PLEASE.

If dogs could talk, I am pretty sure the first thing mine would say is “When are you leaving so that Debbie can come and visit me again?” It pains me to think that someone could take my place with my pet, but in this case it seems to be true.
